Out of the House knocked down 5 hours of Celtic jams on Friday March 17th, aka st.Pattys. I don’t think this feat has ever been completed before, at least not in my experience. Well, at least not by us. I honestly don’t know how you would do it, we started losing our minds by hour 4. At hour 4.5 I caught the attention of Nathan to ask if we could keep going, Mikey said yes so we had sound, and Nathan hand-signalled to carry on til 11pm. Out of the House rallied for another 30 straight of searing Irish punk rock that literally raised the roof. The wind helped a bit, and 400 kids with their own tribal dances and old world chanting didn’t hurt. The night ended on an intense and serious high that bonded us all inside of a tent on the street in downtown Lincoln. Once we stepped outside the bitter wind and 19 degree cold nearly snapped us out of the bliss that followed a marathon of music. thank you Lincoln, from Zoo bar patrons cheering us on and dancing the early night away, to the absolute madness of McKinney’s tent.
